This studio explored what it means to intervene with an environmental agenda on a complex constructed site: the Cockenzie Power Station. Decommissioned in 2013 by Scottish Power due to its failure to comply with EU emissions standards, the site is being slowly dismantled, undergoing its own gradual erasure. Using physical model, video, and animation, students redesigned the site as remediative machines that engage with an environmental process and through careful retooling of existing components, alters those processes in a productive way.
