Fill, Flow, Track on the Isle of Rum

This studio operated between the controlled environment of the studio and the contingent environment of the site: the Isle of Rum, Scotland. A Scottish Natural Heritage designated national nature reserve, Rum is a managed landscape that is actively inscribed by a range of environmental conditions. Students moved from model to instrument to site to survey to the design of an environmental research station that mediates meteorological, hydrological and geological conditions of the site.
